For Bookstores: Cosmic Cranium Press’ books forge new insights on topics of longstanding importance. Whether considering reinvigorated understandings of an academic tradition, recharged cultural expressions, or crafting homemade solutions to problems apparent to only the most savvy observers, the Press’ titles promise intelligence and originality, as well as a challenge to established views.

For Authors: Thank you for your interest in the Press. We encourage you to examine our About and Guidelines for Authors sections. We ask a lot of our writers. Specifically, we ask that your work: 1) Be original in the sense that your writing covers a topic in ways that have not been explored, or are in urgent need of re-exploration in light of A.I., environmental disaster, etc. 2) Be intelligent. Formal education is not necessary; smart, informed and creative approaches are required. 3) Challenge authority. This means ensuring that your manuscript does something better than established interests do. It does NOT mean submitting an ‘I-hate-the-government’ manifesto. If your sources are Internet conspiracy theories, we are not the publisher for you. 4) Be exciting. Unless writers guard against it, conceptual thought can make a reader’s eyes glaze over. Have fire in the belly that blazes on the page.
